Going through someone else’s phone is sometimes the wrong move as a Minden woman learned recently.

Webster Parish Sheriff’s deputy C. Clifford has arrested LaQuerryia Trayvon Coleman, 28 of the 1100 block of Cherry Street, Minden on charges of domestic abuse with child endangerment, domestic abuse with aggravated assault and simple criminal damage to property.

Sheriff Jason Parker said his deputy was dispatched to the residence following a 911 hang-up call Friday afternoon.

“Deputy Clifford made contact with the victim who said he was asleep and woke up to find Coleman looking through his phone,” Parker said. “An argument ensued which led to a physical altercation.”

Coleman allegedly broke a mirror, grabbed a chair and broke it, while chasing the victim and reportedly striking him several times on his head with the phone.

The victim reportedly told the deputy that Coleman then threw the phone at him.

“The subject admitted to throwing the phone at him and then attempted to spray him with pepper spray,” Parker said. “She then sprayed pepper spray on all four of the victim’s door handles and used a broken chair leg to strike the hood of the car.”

This information has been provided by a law enforcement agency as public information. Persons named as suspects in a criminal investigation, or arrested and charged with a crime, have not been convicted of any criminal offense and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
