Organizers of the upcoming Minden Trunk-or-Treat are alerting guests to a change in the complimentary shuttle parking location as preparations continue for a large turnout at the event.
Guests planning to use the free shuttle service should now park at First Baptist Church of Minden, which will serve as the designated shuttle pickup and drop-off location.
Due to anticipated high attendance, two 25-passenger shuttles will operate continuously from 5 to 8 p.m., transporting guests between the designated parking area and the event site.
Attendees are encouraged to use the additional parking and shuttle service to help alleviate traffic and congestion around the library.
Guests should refer to the event’s parking and shuttle map before arriving. Areas marked in red indicate designated public parking, while the yellow area identifies the shuttle pickup and drop-off point. Those utilizing the service should park in a designated public parking area and proceed to the marked shuttle location.
The shuttle service is completely free to event guests.
From First Baptist Church, shuttles will exit the church parking lot onto Pennsylvania Avenue and continue to Third Street before traveling to Broadway Street toward the library. After crossing the Homer Road intersection, the route will continue onto Elm Street and then turn left onto Ferguson Street.
Shuttles will enter the library staff parking lot, which will serve as the event drop-off point as well as the pickup location for guests returning to their vehicles.
Guests are encouraged to plan ahead, review the parking map and utilize the shuttle service to make arriving at and leaving the Minden Trunk-or-Treat as convenient as possible.
