The final Dorcheat Historical Association’s “Night at the Museum” offering for 2026 will center around one of the most unique roads constructed in Louisiana.
On Monday, Oct. 12 at 6 p.m., Kevin Flowers of the Bossier Parish Libraries History Center will share the history of Shed Road in eastern Bossier City. The road was constructed during the terms of Judge John D. Watkins in the Louisiana Legislature. Judge Watkins was a well-loved statesman from Minden, Louisiana during the mid to late 1800’s.
Admission to the evening event is free, although donations are kindly accepted. Doors to the museum on Pearl Street are open at 5:30, with pot luck snacks and desserts. Seating is limited.
