Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office featured in Season 7 of JAIL

The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s Office is featured in the seventh season of JAIL, a reality series produced by Langley Productions, creators of COPS, which premiered Saturday, Oct. 3. The series takes viewers inside detention facilities nationwide, documenting corrections officers and deputies through booking, detention and daily operations. The Caddo episodes offer, in the sheriff’s office’s words, “an inside look at the dedicated men and women who maintain safety, security, and order within the parish correctional system.” The season is available free on Roku, Prime Video, Sony PlayStation and VIZIO through FAST (free ad-supported streaming) platforms.

Bossier Arts Council honors Peter Lyons posthumously at ARTini 2026

The Bossier Arts Council presented its 2026 Mover & Shaker Award posthumously to Peter Lyons at the ARTini fundraiser Saturday evening at Live! Casino and Hotel. Lyons, who passed away May 7 at age 55, was a longtime ARTini fixture who competed in, won and judged the cocktail competition across multiple years and led coffee cupping and cocktail demonstration classes for the council. He also volunteered with Prize Fest, PACE, Red River Revel, the Shreveport Regional Arts Council and the Shreveport Symphony Guild. “Peter didn’t just attend our events, he made them better,” said Board President Emerie Eck Holtzclaw. “He’d walk in and the whole room would light up.”

LBI arrests Gonzales man on child sexual abuse material charges

29-year-old Jason Eduardo Tabora, of West Orice Roth Road in Gonzales, was arrested on Sept. 29, 2026, on the following charge:
Four counts of Child Sexual Abuse Material (La. R.S. 14:81.1)
In March 2026, the Louisiana Bureau of Investigation began investigating a NCMEC CyberTipline report submitted by Dropbox, Inc. Through the investigation, it was determined that Jason Tabora was the account holder of the Dropbox account that contained CSAM. LBI agents obtained an arrest warrant for Tabora for four counts of Child Sexual Abuse Material in Jefferson Parish.
On Sept. 29, 2026, Tabora was taken into custody and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail as a fugitive on the warrant out of Jefferson Parish. He will be transported to the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center and booked on the warrant at a later date.
