Photos and Story By Jerry Strahan –

Springhill Police Department made inroads with the community this week by sponsoring National Night Out.  This was the time to meet the police officers and ask them questions. In addition, the Springhill Fire Department set up their equipment from SCBA , jaws of life and an array of emergency equipment.

There were many many booths set up from Springhill Medical Center to a jump house, to face painting.

Free food and drinks were served , including popcorn, candy, small cakes hot dogs, cotton candy and a lot more.

Several people who are running for office were talking with people and sharing their thoughts and ideas.

The children were laughing, and having a great time getting their faces painted and jumping in the jump house. They were talking with friends and enjoying themselves.

The atmosphere was perfect for National Night Out.  It was truly a great night and the city park was filled of people.
