Webster Parish burn ban extended

Map posted by Louisiana Department of Agriculture & Forestry.

Upon the recommendation of the Webster Parish Fire Chiefs Association and approved by the Webster Parish Police Jury, the current burn ban for Webster Parish will be extended until November 17, 2026 or until terminated. The recommendation comes due to the Extreme Drought/Severe Drought Conditions for Webster Parish as per the US Drought Monitor. This, combined with the LDAF Fire Danger for today of Very High along with the Red Flag Warning issued by the NWS causing Critical Fire Danger conditions through early Saturday morning has increased the risk of vegetation fires for our parish.
