Minden PD’s K9 Officer Brams and his partner, Lt. Shawn Griffith, helped keep things safe Saturday during Family Day at Camp Minden’s Youth Challenge Program.

Chief of Police Jared McIver said Brams and Griffith assisted Camp Minden security teams during the event which brought a large number of family members to visit the YCP cadets.

“This also gave the public an opportunity to see our K9 in a different setting,” Griffith said. “The kids loved seeing Brams and it gave us the opportunity to interact with the public in a positive manner.”

Griffith said the event was another commitment by the MPD K9 units to assist outside agencies in providing public safety and promoting good will.
