Minden High welcomes alumni with parade, parties and a Homecoming win

Minden High School welcomed hundreds of alumni from the Classes of 1956 through 2026 during the weekend of Oct. 23-25, 2026. The weather was beautiful for all events, with the sun shining on floats of Homecoming royalty, classmates on floats (a roomy bus for the alumni of 1956), and marching groups from the MHS Band to the MHS Louisi-Annes.

Every venue in town was busy with alumni visiting, dining together, and some dancing. As a special measure of welcome, the Webster Parish Fair was in town for those wanting to stroll the midway and dine on cotton candy during the weekend.

The Minden Crimson Tide capped a successful Homecoming with a 52 to 13 win over the Southwood Cowboys (in a conference game). It was an especially memorable evening for the 12 members  of the Class of 1956 who attended the game. Their class took home the State Championship trophy in football that year. Minden is presently 6-2 in the Class 4-AAAA standings.
