A lengthy investigation into the illegal sale of narcotics ended Friday with the arrest of a 59-year-old man at a local motel.
Chief of Police Jared McIver said Patrick L. Ferguson was taken into custody just before 11 a.m. when officers enforced a search warrant on his room in the 1200 block of Shreveport Rd.
“Our narcotics investigators had been watching him for some time and gathered the evidence necessary to make the arrest,” McIver said. “They did a very good job of following through on all the leads they developed.”
Ferguson is charged with four counts of distribution of CDS Sch. I (natural marijuana). He is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center under a $100,000 bond.
