A dispute between neighbors escalated into an incident involving a weapon and a 29-year-old Minden man is in the parish prison as a result.
Chief of Police Jared McIver said Jarvis Robinson, a resident of the 500 block of Richardson St., is charged with aggravated assault with a firearm after his arrest around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday.
Robinson was booked into Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. Bond has not been set.
McIver said officers were dispatched to the Richardson St. residence where they learned Robinson and his neighbor had become involved in a heated verbal altercation. Further questioning reportedly revealed several past confrontations between Robinson and his neighbor where threats allegedly had been made by both.
Officers learned that during the argument, Robinson had gone inside his residence and retrieved a handgun. Surveillance video reportedly showed Robinson pointing a black firearm at the neighbor.
A 9MM handgun reportedly was confiscated.
