City needs signatures to qualify for grant

The City of Minden has the opportunity to apply for a $1 Million sewer rehabilitation grant if the city can meet the criteria required.

The targeted areas are in districts A and B.

“We will need to collect 242 signatures to qualify,” said Mayor Terry Gardner

He is asking for volunteers to join him, Wanda Pittman, Tyler Wallace and Kathy Newer from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of next week (Oct. 11, 12, 13) as they knock on doors to gather signatures.

Sunday, October 10, please ask any churches in districts A and B to inform their congregations of this program and ask for their participation and support.

“We are required to have all forms turned in by November 1,” Gardner said.
