A pair of brothers are housed at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center following a “shots fired” call to Minden Police.
D’Angelo J. Lyons, 22, of the 1300 block of Sheppard St., and Terrance Lyons, 28, of the 1100 block of East St., are charged with possession of CDS Sch. I with intent to distribute, possession of a CDS in presence of a firearm, and D’Angelo Lyons is also charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
Police Chief Steve Cropper said Det. Shane Griffith answered the call Friday morning.
“During the course of the investigation, it was learned the two were in possession of 50g of Marijuana, digital scales and clear plastic baggies used for the sale of narcotics,” Cropper said.
The subjects were in a 2011 Buick LaCrosse, and everything was reportedly found in the trunk, including a Taurus 9mm handgun with an extended magazine.
“During an interview, Terrance Lyons revealed the firearm belonged to D’Angelo’s girl friend, and he advised the two had stopped seeing each other a few weeks prior,” the chief said. “A records check revealed the firearm was stolen from the identified female, and D’Angelo later admitted the gun was in his possession.”
