Warriors traveling to Vivian to take on North Caddo and dynamic receiver Omarion Miller

By Josh Beavers

The Lakeside Warriors will be on the road again this week as they travel west to take on North Caddo.

The Warriors are 3-3 on the season but have suffered back to back losses. Lincoln Prep got the best of the Warriors two weeks ago, and North Webster defeated Lakeside last week.

North Caddo is ranked 10th in Class 2A with a 6-1 record.

One of the most difficult matchups for all North Caddo opponents this season has been guarding the dynamic receiver Omarion Miller. A 6’2” junior, Miller is an LSU commit and has drawn comparisons to hall of fame receiver Calvin Johnson when he was in high school.

Miller has caught 40 passes for nearly 900 yards and has 12 touchdowns.

The Warriors will look to build upon the running of senior Ashton Stewart who has put together three consecutive 100 yard rushing performances. Stewart scored a dynamic touchdown on a long run last week against North Webster.

North Caddo and Lakeside will square off in district action at 7 p.m. Friday night in Vivian.
