Webster Parish Sheriff’s deputies have arrested a south Webster Parish man for pulling a gun and threatening to shoot a child.

Clint Godwin, 41, of the 3500 block of Franklin Rd., Heflin, is charged with aggravated assault and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sheriff Jason Parker said deputies were dispatched to the Franklin Road location on a disturbance call Tuesday.

“The female complainant said Godwin pulled a gun on her and her minor children,” Parker said. “She said he threatened to shoot her daughter in front of her.”

The complainant also reportedly told deputies she has observed a “sawed-off 22 caliber with a laser.”

Godwin reportedly gave deputies consent to search his residence, but no gun was located.

“During the search, drug paraphernalia was found,” said the sheriff. “It was a glass pipe commonly used to smoke Methamphetamine.”

Godwin was transported to Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center without incident.
