New police hires are on the agenda for a special meeting of the Minden City Council that will take place at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Thursday, November 4) in council chambers at Minden City Hall.

During Monday’s meeting, a vote to add the three hires to the agenda failed by a vote of 3-2. It requires a unanimous vote to add an item to a meeting agenda. Voting against adding the new hires to the agenda were District B councilwoman Terika Williams-Walker and District C councilman Vincen Bradford.

Police Chief Steve Cropper submitted three names – Kayla Little, Joel Alex Faulk and Logan Clingan – for approval.

The public is invited to attend the special meeting. Masks are not required but safe distancing will be enforced.
