This past weekend in Minden was magical, and the exclamation point to the fun was the parade through downtown, capped off by fireworks.

The following groups received parade awards:

Best Band – Minden High School

Best Marching Group  – Minden High School Louisi-Annes

Santa’s Award – Given to the overall outstanding entry presenting and illustrating the theme “Twas The Night Before Christmas!” – First United Methodist Church

Spectacular Sparkles -Given to the entrant that presents an outstanding display of lights and/or other type of illuminations – Minden Medical Center
