Minden Police arrest Shreveport woman

A Shreveport woman is in a Webster Parish Jail on multiple drug charges.

Crystal Miller, 37, of the 400 blocks of Marion Lane, was arrested Tuesday by Minden Police and charged with possession of marijuana, methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper said OFC. Christopher Cayer spotted Miller’s white Ford Focus driving east on Shreveport Road when it swerved between the lanes.

“The officer initiated a traffic stop and when he made contact with Miller, he recognized the smell of burning marijuana,” Cropper said. “Once Miller exited the vehicle, she produced a glass pipe that she said was used to smoke methamphetamine and a cigarette box containing two marijuiana blunts.”

OFC. Cayer reportedly asked Miller if there were any other narcotics in the vehicle.

“She advised there was methamphetamine in her purse,” said the chief.

Miller was placed under arrest and transported to Minden Police Department.
