An explosion at a propane gas location south of Cotton Valley has sent three men to the hospital, one from Minden.

A family friend confirmed the injured man transported by ambulance is Daniel Payne of Minden. Two men were airlifted, all to Ochsner LSU Health Center in Shreveport.

According to Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker, the explosion and fire occurred around 11:30 a.m. Monday an Aeropres location off Old Highway 7.

“Louisiana State Police hazmat is at the site now,” Parker said. “They will be handling the investigation as to the cause of the fire.”
