Thurman named AD at Glenbrook School

Glenbrook’s Head of School Darden Gladney announced Friday the selection of James Thurman as Athletic Director.

Thurman has 22 years of experience in school athletics, five of which were serving as an athletic director. Although primarily known as a football coach, he has also coached basketball, golf and track. He not only has served as a coach but also in the classroom as an Advanced Placement Teacher. Earlier in the school year, KSLA interviewed Coach Thurman concerning his role as a coach in the Football in America League.

“I personally have a long-term vested interest in Glenbrook School, as nothing would make me prouder than to see my two children graduate from Glenbrook,” Thurman said. “The position of Athletic Director would allow me to be a servant leader for every student throughout those years and beyond.”

Under Thurman’s leadership, the administration looks forward to years of successful athletic and academic endeavors.
