National Weather Service forecasters are predicting an active weather pattern with the potential to create conditions for heavy rain possibilities Tuesday through Thursday, with much of it falling late Tuesday through Wednesday.
An increasingly active weather pattern could result in periods of heavy rainfall through much of this week with the threat of flooding, especially from Tuesday through Wednesday night. Rainfall amounts across the region could range from 3 to 6 inches, forecasters predict.
Threats or heavy rainfall are expected to increase on Tuesday through Tuesday night as showers and thunderstorms become widespread across the region. Rainfall amounts possibly up to 3 inches are expected with isolated higher amounts possible, mainly along and north of the I-30 corridor.
Forecasters say heavy rainfall may lead to some localized flash flooding, especially in areas where more recent heavy rain occurred during this past weekend.
