Lakeside splits games with Calvary 

Lakeside 11, Calvary 4

Lakeside asserted their will over Calvary on their way to an easy 11-4 victory in the first game Monday.

The Warriors got on the board in the first inning when Hunter Sutton grounded out, scoring one run.

Lakeside pulled away for good with five runs in the second inning, beginning with a Calvary wild pitch that allowed one run to score.

Eli Santelices tripled on the first pitch, scoring one run. Peyton Gray singled, scoring a run and Eli Campbell doubled, scoring a run.

Campbell was credited with the victory for Lakeside. He allowed four hits and two runs over three innings, striking out three and walking none.

Jordan Case, Campbell, Jake Glass, Matthew Aguilera, Gray and Santelices had one hit to lead the Warriors.

Calvary 7, Lakeside 2

In the second game, Lakeside fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 7-2 loss to Calvary. Calvary scored on a single in the first inning and an error in the second.

The Warriors lost despite out-hitting Calvary seven to four.

Cooper Chase took the loss for Lakeside. The hurler lasted two innings, allowing two hits and four runs while striking out three.

Lakeside racked up seven hits on the day. Peyton Gray, Eli Musgraves and Cade Boley collected multiple hits. Boley, Musgraves and Gray collected two hits to lead the Warriors.
