Senator to speak to Lions Thursday

Robert Mills, Louisiana State Senator for District 36, will be the guest speaker for our club meeting this Thursday at noon.

Sen. Mills was born and raised in Northwest Louisiana, graduating from Byrd High School and later LSU with a BS degree in business administration. After 40 years in the oil and gas industry, Sen. Mills retired from Calumet Specialty Products in 2019. It was then that he successfully campaigned for the La. State Senate District 36, which covers Webster Parish and parts of Bossier, Bienville and Claiborne parishes. Sen. Mills serves on the Senate Judiciary A Committee, Insurance, Education and Retirement committees. He and his wife, Sheila Allen Mills, reside in north Bossier Parish.

Sen. Mills will be introduced Thursday by Lion Ty Pendergrass.

The Minden Lions Club meets Thursdays at noon at the American Legion Memorial Home, located at 119 Pine St. in downtown Minden.
