SPRINGHILL – The North Webster Knights dropped a district home game to the Union Parish Farmers, 55-17 Friday.
The Farmers brought their physical running attack, led by senior star Trey Holly. Holly ran through the Knights defense with ease while the North Webster offense managed some success, but not enough.
The first quarter saw both teams start fast with North Webster answering a Union score with a quick answer as QB Collin McKenzie found an open Cooper Sanders for 60 yards and a touchdown. After another Farmers TD, North Webster scored once again when Braedon Robertson scampered 50 yards down to the 5 yard line, setting up Sanders for a short touchdown run.
The second quarter was all Union as the Farmers extended their lead to 41-14 by the half.
North Webster’s got their final points of the evening late in the fourth quarter when kicker Christian Whitlock drilled a 27 yard field goal.
North Webster remains winless on the season heading into next week’s road game at Carroll in Monroe.
