The Village of Dixie Inn will add a new officer to their police department if the Board of Aldermen approve when they meet at 5 p.m. today (November 8).
Hiring a new police officer has been a topic of discussion in previous meetings. The Board of Aldermen will vote during this regular session to approve hiring Officer Zane Crittenden.
Ordering a new police unit will also be considered during this meeting.
Additional new items to be discussed by the Board include approving Mayor Donna Hoffoss’s application for a grant for a waste container for the parks as well as a grant to get a welcome sign for the Village.
The Board of Aldermen will also:
- Adopt the minutes of the October 11, 2022 regular session and the minutes of the October 26, 2022 special session.
- Adopt the financial statements for October 11, 2022.
- Hear department reports from water/maintenance, police, aldermen, and mayor.
The Board will meet at Village Hall located at 60 Shell Street in Dixie Inn. The public is invited to attend.
