
Minden Tiders Softball team fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 3-1 loss to Florien Monday. Florien took the lead on a double in the first inning.
The pitching was strong on both sides. Florien pitchers struck out ten, while the Tiders sat down five.
Florien got on the board in the first inning. Hall drove in one when Hall doubled.
McDaniel was in the circle for Florien. The bulldog went seven innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out ten and walking zero.
Kylie Ryan was on the rubber for Minden. The pitcher lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and three runs while striking out five and walking one.
Jacey Adams went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead in hits.
Florien collected seven hits. McDaniel and Withers each collected multiple hits for Florien.
