
North Webster Lady Knights fell behind early and couldn’t come back in a 12-2 loss to Taylor Monday. Taylor took the lead on a home run in the first inning.
North Webster struggled to contain the high-powered offense of Taylor, giving up 12 runs.
In the first inning, Taylor got their offense started when Buford hit a solo homer.
Taylor scored seven runs in the third inning. The offensive onslaught by Taylor was led by Downs, Mclelland, Clark, May, Lindsey, and Buford, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Buford earned the victory in the circle for Taylor. The fireballer surrendered zero runs on one hit over four innings, striking out six and walking zero. Nolte threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Carlie Campbell took the loss for North Webster Lady Knights. The pitcher allowed three hits and seven runs over two innings.
Aniyah Davis went 2-for-2 at the plate to lead North Webster.
