Minden out-hits competition, Choudrant takes win

Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but Minden Tiders fell to Choudrant 11-7 Tuesday.

The Crimson Tide ladies lost despite out-hitting Choudrant 10 to8.

Minden Tiders took an early lead in the second inning. Minden Tiders  scored one run when Kaylin Williams doubled.

In the bottom of the first inning, Choudrant tied things up at one. Smith hit a solo homer.

Choudrant took the lead for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third an error scored one run for Choudrant and an error scored two runs for Choudrant.

The lady Tiders put up five runs in the second inning. Williams, Lindsay Ryan and Kylie Ryan all moved runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Choudrant scored three runs in the sixth inning. Their big bats were led by Smith and Bell, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Bennett was on the rubber for Choudrant. The ace surrendered seven runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out ten.

Ryan was in the pitcher’s circle for Minden. The pitcher surrendered 11 runs on eight hits over six innings, striking out nine.

Minden socked one home run on the day. Ryan went yard in the second inning.

The Tide tallied 10 hits on the day. Leigha K-Gilbert and Jacey Adams each had multiple hits. Adams and K-Gilbert had two hits to lead the team.

Choudrant racked up eight hits. Bennett, Bell, and Smith all had multiple hits for Choudrant. Bennett led Choudrant with three hits in four at bats.
