Broadcast team to speak to Lions

KBEF/KASO Radio Football Broadcast Team and Minden Football historians, Jake Chapman and Mark Chreene, will be give a presentation of The History of Minden Football at the Minden Lions Club meeting Thursday. 

This talk will cover more than 100 years of Minden football history including topics such as the earliest recorded football games, history of the Minden mascot, facts and stats on Minden football and the process involved in creating and curating the Minden football statistics and record book.

Mark Chreene, owner of KBEF/KASO radio, has been broadcasting Minden football games since 2002 and has broadcasted over 200 games.  Jake Chapman joined Mark in the booth in 2010 and the tandem have broadcasted over 140 games.

Minden Lions meet at noon every Thursday at the American Legion Hall on Pine Street.
