Spec James Ronald Garcia was born 20 Dec 1943 in the USA.  He was the son of Jesus Garcia and Dorothy Mae Lansdale Garcia.  His home state was listed as Kentucky.  He was in the Army of the United States and achieved the rank of E4 at his death.  His MOS:12B20: Combat Engineer.  His Unit: A CO, 20TH ENG BN, 937TH ENG GROUP, 28TH ENG BDE, USARV.

His tour started on Nov 3, 1966, and he was killed on June 17, 1967.  He was 23 years of age.  He died from hostile fire/ground casualty in Pleiku Province, South Vietnam. His military occupation was Combat Engineer, and he enlisted. He was a Specialist Fourth Class.

His body was recovered, and he was buried at the Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Minden, Webster Parish, Louisiana. 

He will be honored at our Armed Forced Day Celebration.  Please remember his sacrifice and the freedom he gave us.
