Raffle to help Minden business owner happening Saturday

Liz and Joe Morgan

Minden local, supporter and business owner, Joe Morgan, has recently been diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma. This type of cancer forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell. The cancerous plasma cells accumulate in the bone marrow and crowd out healthy blood cells.

The Pine Hills Country Club and Golf Course will be hosting a 50/50 raffle in an effort to raise funds to assist Joe and his wife, Liz, during this cancer journey.

“Joe and Liz have always been big supporters of anything in Minden. Any time I have needed them to help, they are always willing,” said President of the Tournament Committee and board member Jordy Fish.

Fish will be set up at Pine Hills this Saturday, May 20, selling tickets for the raffle. Tickets are 5 dollars each. You can also purchase tickets or make a donation from now until June 4 by sending payments to:

“Minden, I know we show out every year for St. Jude. Let’s show out this summer and help this family,” said Fish.

A special account has also been set up in Joe’s name at B1 Bank for those interested in donating that way.

The Pine Hills Country Club and Golf Course will be hosting a 2-man scramble golf tournament and auction at the course on August 12. More details will be released soon.
