Webster Parish schools maintain C grade

On November 13 the Louisiana Department of Education released the 2022-2023 school performance scores for the state’s public K-12 schools and systems, and Webster Parish maintained its letter grade of C. 

The LDOE press release reads, “Over the past five years our schools have made remarkable strides in improving their performance scores, reflecting our unwavering commitment to academic excellence and student success. This achievement is a testament to the collaborative efforts of everyone involved in the education journey, from students who have embraced learning to teachers providing quality instruction to parents and the community for fostering a supportive learning environment.” 

Most Webster Parish schools maintained their letter grade scored in the previous year with two decreasing and one increasing. The district performance score decreased from a 71.7 “C” letter grade to a 71.4. The statewide average was a 78.5 “B” letter grade.
