Fire chief releases 2023 numbers

Minden Fire Chief Brian Williams last week gave council members his first annual report since taking over the department reins.

“This report is intended to be a look into the daily activities of the firefighters protecting the citizens of Minden,” Williams said. “These are items tracked for record keeping, but there are many other tasks these men perform on a daily basis that are not included.”

Some of those items include station cleaning, apparatus checks, grass cutting and minor station maintenance.

“The report also contains the attendance of our call men firefights to calls for service and training drills,” Williams said.

Williams said he has 15 paid firefighters and 18 volunteers.
