An area of Germantown Road in Minden has been under a boil advisory since a water main break Saturday evening.

“New Year’s holiday is going to slow the test results down a little,” said Mayor Nick Cox. “It will probably be mid week before it’s revoked.”

The mayor said the age of the main was likely responsible for the break. City crews were making repairs at the area near Eastside Baptist Church around 5:30 p.m. Saturday. By 9:30 p.m., the advisory was in place for the 200, 300 and 400 blocks of Germantown.
