A local man has been charged with a variety of weapon and drug charges after he was arrested while attempting to flee from Minden police officers.
Chief of Police Jared McIver said Courtney Jenkins is currently being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center on charges of possession of CDS Sch. I, possession of CDS Sch. II, possession of a firearm with CDS, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, resisting an officer, driving under suspension and other traffic offenses.
McIver said Lt. Brandon Curry placed the suspect in custody after a vehicle pursuit and a brief foot pursuit on Shreveport Rd.
