Webster Parish Basketball Report – Week 4

The teams got back into action after the holiday break and didn’t disappoint for the week.   Doyline Panthers (17-2) doubled up on the week and moved them up to No. 6 in the power rating in Division V non-select.   The Panthers move up to two more places and they may be looking at a first round bye.  Panther Jay Patterson had the top performance of the week.    Minden Crimson Tide split the week and fell in their first district game of the season.  North Webster won two out of three weeks but ran into a tough first district matchup with Richwood.

Top story of the week was that Glenbrook Lady Apaches pulled off their first win of the season and it was a key district win over Ringgold.  The win also pushed the Lady Apaches into the top 24 in the Division IV Select power rating which means that they are now in the playoff range.  Lakeside also picked up another win for the week as they stayed in playoff range in Division III.  The Lady Tide had the biggest jump and almost reached that coveted first round home playoff game.   Minden also opened up district with a win over BTW

This coming week’s schedule may be altered some with the inclement weather.  Be sure to check with the school to make sure they are playing before heading out on the road.
