Treasure hunters: get a clue, win some cash

By Paige Gurgainers

Local 318 lawyer Jimbo Yocom of Yocom Law Firm has officially declared March 18 a legal holiday.

“We are declaring a legal holiday, from now until the end of time, March 18 will be 318 Day,” Yocom announced. “If you’re like me, you’re proud of where you’re from. I’m from north Louisiana – 318, and that’s where I practice law.”

To celebrate, Yocom has partnered with Jordan Stone, LLC to host a treasure hunt within the 318 area. The hidden object will be green and shaped like the state of Louisiana. Clues will be given each day beginning March 11, through the Yocom Law Firm’s Facebook page, with one clue given each day up until March 18 – 318 Day.

The prize for whoever finds the hidden object within the north Louisiana area will be $3,180.

Yocom mentioned that additional clues can be unlocked by completing challenges.

Yocom said, “It will narrow down to exactly where you can find the treasure. Whoever finds it will be the winner of $3,180 – we were going to do $318, but we didn’t want to cheap out.”

He also mentioned that there is “secret stuff” hidden on the back of the object, so do not “get cute” and try to recreate it.

“Follow the clues and get ready to be stumped. They aren’t easy,” Yocom explained. “Over $3 grand is on the line, so don’t call whining and complaining. There’s no second place. We don’t do participation trophies. Whoever finds it wins. Tell your friends and family or don’t if you want to be smart about it.”

Happy hunting in the 318!
