Springhill Police have arrested a 22-year-old Cullen man in connection with a September 17 drive-by shooting incident where shots reportedly were fired into a Springhill residence.
Investigators said no one was inside the home at the time shots were fired.
Springhill Chief of Police Will Lynd said Quaychardius Keyun Neal, a resident of the 2200 block Reynolds St., Cullen, was arrested Tuesday (Sept. 17) morning on warrants charging him with assault by drive-by shooting and illegal use of a firearm during a crime of violence.
Neal reportedly is currently being held in Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center facing a total bond of $100,000.
Springhill PD Det. Rodney Hile said witnesses provided information on the identity of the shooter, but the investigation into the incident is continuing.
“There are still questions we want answered,” he said.
Hile said a weapon allegedly used in the shooting has not been recovered.
