Pitching dominated the Lakeside, Ouachita Christian game, but the Eagles managed to parlay a series of Warriors’ errors into a 3-1 win Tuesday.
Lakeside jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the second on the strength of a Drake Chreene RBI ground-out. That lead lasted until the bottom of the fourth when the Eagles scored three times on an error and a Reed Smalling single.
Peyton Gray took the hard luck loss, going four innings and giving up three unearned runs on six hits with three strikeouts and two walks. Clark Brown earned the win for Ouachita Christian, giving up one run and one hit over three innings.
Gage Williams, Brock Case, and Noah Redding each collected one hit for Lakeside. Ridge Coats and Smalling each collected two hits for Ouachita Christian.
