City of Minden crews are waiting until after the imminent storm and high winds to take care of a downed line at the corner of Sheppard and Spann streets across from Fire Station No. 1.

Minden Mayor Nick Cox said a limb fell on the line and broke the pole. “People should definitely avoid that area at this time,” Cox said.
