Coming Home: Greg Tibbitt returns to lead Glenbrook football

Glenbrook School is excited to welcome back Coach Greg Tibbitt as its new Head Football Coach. A familiar face to some Apache fans, Coach Tibbitt previously led Glenbrook from 2012 to 2013, compiling a 15-9 record and guiding the team to a 9-4 season and a MAIS semifinal appearance in 2013.

Coach Tibbitt returns to Minden after serving as the Head Coach and Athletic Director at Green Forest High School (AR), where he led the program to its first-ever 4A playoff berth in school history. Now, he’s set to bring his experience, leadership, and passion back to the Apaches.

“I am excited for the opportunity to return to Glenbrook as the new Head Football Coach and eager to build upon the rich tradition and recent successes of the Apache football program,” said Coach Tibbitt. “I will focus on continuing the momentum and working toward developing a championship-caliber program that will sustain success for years to come.”

“Coach Tibbitt originally brought me to Glenbrook in 2012, and our two seasons together were some of the best years of my 24-year career,” said James Thurman, Glenbrook’s Athletic Director. “He built a culture of hard work and accountability, and every player who suited up for him respected and admired him. There’s no doubt he’ll instill that same standard of excellence in our program today. He’s not just coaching football—he’s developing young men who will leave Glenbrook better than they arrived.”

Coach Tibbitt’s leadership was instrumental in Glenbrook’s previous success, and expectations are high for his return. His focus will be on instilling a winning mindset, fostering discipline, and building a culture of toughness and accountability—both on and off the field.

With Coach Tibbitt at the helm, Glenbrook Football is primed for an exciting future. Stay tuned, Apaches— big things are coming.
