The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces a project to repair a portion of LA 160 on the western side of Webster Parish.
The $1.7 million project stretches on LA 160 from Bodcau Creek along the Webster/Bossier Parish line to US 371, providing a little over two miles of improvements.
Work on the project is scheduled to begin on Monday, March 3, with a southbound right lane closure on LA 160 at its intersection with US 371.
The overall project includes milling to remove the old asphalt and overlaying with new asphalt to improve the travel experience and lengthen the service life of the roadway.
As construction progresses, motorists should expect to encounter intermittent lane closures to allow the contractor to safely conduct their work. Please remember to drive with caution, slow down through the work zone, and eliminate distractions behind the wheel.
The entire project is anticipated to be complete in early Summer 2025, with progress dependent on weather conditions and other factors that can impact construction timelines.
