Eight Minden High School players have been named to the 2024/25 District 1-4A All-District basketball team, adding a nice touch to the Tide’s successful basketball season that saw the team make it to the state tournament for the first time since 2021.
Leading the picks were a pair of first-team selections, junior guard Jaiden Franklin and senior forward Darnell Morris. Named to the second team was Cameron Parker, a junior guard.
Five Crimson Tiders received honorable mention. Those were senior forward Carmelo Smith, senior guard Christian Lofton, junior forward Kameron Harris and junior guard/forward Hudson Brown.
Head coach Jason Brown’s Tiders made it to the LHSAA Division II non-select semifinals before losing to eventual state runner-up Bossier. Minden finished the season with a 22-4 record and a second place finish in the district.
