Bankhead receives Lifetime Achievement Award at Springhilll-North Webster Chamber banquet

Edward Bankhead received the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 71st Annual Springhill-North Webster Chamber Banquet last week. A lifelong resident of North Webster, Bankhead built homes in the community, spent 36 years on city council, and was a former Mayor Pro-Tem. 

When asked about his longstanding residence here, his answer is simple and powerful, “there is no other place I would rather live.” 

“Ed Bankhead has not just lived in Springhill, he has built it, served it and loved it,” Chamber Director, Amber Cobb said in her speech awarding Bankhead for his lifetime dedication to the community.

In addition, named as award winners were the following:

Ambassador Award: Mack Memorial Library 

Business Woman of the Year: Courtney Hash 

Business Man of the Year: Marty Curtis
