Unwanted sexual advances toward a female employee at a business in northern Webster Parish Wednesday evening has landed a 68-year-old Cullen man in the parish prison.
Eddie D. Wafer, Jr. is reportedly charged with sexual battery after he allegedly inappropriately touched the woman during a conversation inside an office area of a Sarepta truck stop casino, according to Sheriff Jason Parker.
Deputy Ben Allen learned during his investigation of the incident that Wafer and the female allegedly were talking when Wafer began to rub her upper thigh and crotch without her consent.
Although she told him “No” several times, he also took her hand and placed in on his crotch area. Wafer reportedly stopped his unwanted actions when the victim continued to protest.
Evidence included footage from the business security camera which reportedly captured the incident. Wafer reportedly is being held at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center. No bond has been set.
