Noah Spears collected four hits in four at bats Friday to lead the Doyline Panthers to a 10-0 win over Florien in the first round of the LHSAA Class B playoffs.

Friday’s win sets up a regional match for number 14 seed Doyline against number three seed Family Community.

In addition to his perfect day at the plate, Spears also picked up the win for the Panthers, going five innings while picking up 11 strikeouts. Kennon Richwine took the loss for Florien

Doyline scored eight runs on five hits in the bottom of the fifth inning to ice the win. A Spears double with the bases loaded was the big blow in the frame for the Panthers.
