Driving a vehicle with switched license plates has put a Shongaloo woman in the parish jail facing more serious charges after a Webster Parish deputy found illegal narcotics in her possession.

Sheriff Jason Parker said Tiffany Cunningham, 36, a resident of the 1000 block of Elmer Moore Rd., was stopped just after noon Wednesday on Fire Tower Rd. by Sgt. Aaron Barnes in reference to switched tags.

During initial questioning, Sgt. Barnes reportedly noticed Cunningham appeared nervous, avoiding eye contact. When asked if she had anything illegal in the vehicle, Cunningham allegedly admitted she had a bag containing methamphetamines secreted on her person.

Sgt. Barnes also observed Cunningham’s seven-month-old child in the vehicle at the time of the stop.

Cunningham is charged with possession of CDS Sch. II (methamphetamines), possession of CDS in presence of a minor, switched license tags, driving under suspension and on a fugitive warrant from Springhill PD.  No bond has been set.
