LaMa Animal Rescue hosted a heartfelt reception honoring David Robinson, Webster Parish’s first-ever animal control officer, as he officially retires after years of service to the parish and its animals.
Michelle Lewis, co-founder of LaMa Animal Rescue, presented Robinson with a plaque recognizing his unwavering dedication to animal welfare throughout his career. “David has always gone above and beyond,” said Lewis.
Webster Parish Sheriff Jason Parker also presented Robinson with a plaque, acknowledging his years of tireless work.
Robinson, thanked LaMa and Lewis for their support. “I couldn’t have done it without Michelle and the help of LaMa ,” he said.
Lewis also presented Sheriff Parker with a plaque to thank him for his ongoing partnership and commitment to helping animals in the parish.
LaMa Animal Rescue, which has rescued and re-homed more than 3,000 animals, continues to be a cornerstone in the local fight for animal welfare. The event was a reminder of the difference that dedicated individuals and strong partnerships can make.
Robinson’s legacy leaves behind not only a stronger system for animal control in Webster Parish, but a shining example of compassion in action.
