Multiple felony drug charges have been filed against three individuals after police responded to a report Friday of an intoxicated person attempting to leave a local business in a vehicle.

Minden Officers Jordon Greer, Cody James and Johnna Taylor arrived at the parking lot of Mercy’s Closet on Sibley Rd. just before 6 p.m. where they reportedly found two occupants inside the vehicle described in a call to dispatchers.

During initial questioning of the driver, 40-year-old Douglas W. Cloud of Jamestown, one officer observed a clear plastic container in plain view on the driver’s side floorboard of the vehicle. Cloud reportedly told officers a pipe was inside the container.

After securing the pipe, officers searched the vehicle and reportedly found 110.1 grams of methamphetamines, 36.79 grams of synthetic marijuana, one scale and multiple clear baggies.

Officers reportedly also found multiple methamphetamine and marijuana smoking pipes along with materials used to operate a lab for the manufacture of methamphetamines.

During further questioning, officers learned a third companion was inside the store. Inside the store’s bathroom, officers found 38-year-old Samantha Shari Anderson of Shreveport. A search of the restroom reportedly uncovered five syringes and a pipe used for smoking methamphetamines in a trashcan.

Anderson was also found to be in possession of two rings from the business which she allegedly had not purchased.

Cloud and the second occupant of the vehicle, 59-year-old Kara Jacot of Happy Jack, Arizona, each face charges of possession of CDS Sch. I (synthetic marijuana) with intent to distribute, possession of CDS Sch. II (methamphetamines) with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia and creation/operation of a methamphetamines lab.

Both are being held on bonds totaling $45,001.

Anderson faces the same four counts as her two companions, but is also looking at four additional charges including possession of CDS Sch. IV (Clonazepam), obstruction, misdemeanor theft and on a fugitive warrant from Bossier Parish Sheriff’s Office. Her bond has been set at $50,001.
