The Miss Louisiana Volunteer Pageant will take place November 7–8 in Minden, where 22 contestants and 35 Magnolia Princesses will compete in a weekend dedicated to scholarship, leadership, and service.
The pageant recently hosted its first official state meeting in Minden, marking the first time all contestants gathered in the pageant’s new home. The weekend was more than just turning in paperwork, it was a full experience designed to pour into the young women competing this November.
Contestants spent the weekend filming content around downtown Minden, soaking in the small-town charm that many described as “walking through Gilmore Girls.” They also took part in practical sessions to prepare for competition, including stage presence, walking, and choreography for the opening number.
Board members from across the state joined together to mentor the girls, creating an uplifting and inspiring environment. Strong friendships were formed, and contestants left eager to represent Louisiana and promote Minden even beyond the pageant.
On Saturday evening, contestants and board members attended the Webster Parish Fair Queen Pageant at Minden High School – a long-standing community tradition – to show their support for the local community.
“This was a weekend where we poured our heart and soul into the girls,” said Executive State Director Kayla Rodriguez. “They left encouraged, connected, and excited for what’s ahead.”
The event also promises high visibility for Minden, with pristine judges coming in, including a nationally recognized content creator with over 3 million followers.
“We’re working hard to spotlight Minden in a huge way,” Rodriguez added.
With an anticipated sold-out crowd, the Miss Louisiana Volunteer Pageant is set to be an exciting weekend celebrating scholarship, leadership and service. Tickets will be available to purchase on October 13.
