Tide overcomes slow start, downs Southwood 

After a first quarter which saw the Southwood Cowboys jump out to an 18-2 lead, the Minden Crimson Tide came storming back with 50 second half points to claim a 66-46 District 1-4A win Friday.

Minden trailed 25-16 at the half, but poured in 20 in the third capped by 30 in the fourth to up its conference record to 4-2 and move to 13-8 on the season.

Cameron Parker led the Tide with 18 points, pushing his career total to more than 1,000 points. Kameron Harris added 14 and Markavius Johnson had 13 in the win.

Southwood was led by Karter McDowell with 23 points.
